Blend of sunscreen actives plus a penetration-enhancing ingredient and fragrance increases the risk of a sensitized reaction.
This product is essentially a lightweight daytime sunscreen/moisturizer with some added ingredients in an effort to become a one-stop-shop for your skincare routine. The base formula contains quite a bit of propylene glycol. This enhances penetration, which can lead to sensitivity when mixed with the active ingredients and fragrance in this product.
The amount of vitamin C (in the form of ascorbyl glucoside) is potentially helpful for improving dark spots and stimulating collagen. This also contains hexylresorcinol, and ingredient with some research indicating it, too, can help improve dark spots by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for melanin (skin pigment) production.
Where things get misleading is with the claim that this product improves five signs of aging in four weeks. Those signs include dryness, sagging, dull tone, wrinkles, and discoloration. Simply applying a good SPF product every day will improve wrinkles and brown spots—that benefit isn't unique to this product. As for dryness, this Multi Correxion product is too light to make those with dry skin happy, but it's OK for normal to slightly dry or combination skin. The vitamin C and hexylresorcinol will likely reduce brown spots but for best results you should consider a more potent dark spot treatment applied separately from your SPF step. Dullness is countered by the cosmetic pigments this contains as these add shine and a soft glow to skin. Nice, but not unique to this product.
As for sagging, no skin-care product is able to help all that much. A face-lift-in-a-bottle isn't possible, but with the right mix of products, you will see firmer skin that has a more lifted appearance—and that's exciting! To gain these youthful benefits, you must protect your skin from any and all sun damage every day, use an AHA (glycolic acid or lactic acid) or BHA (salicylic acid) exfoliant, and use products that have a wide range of antioxidants and skin-repairing ingredients. Remember, no single product can do it all; it's the combination of products that has extensive research showing it can significantly improve many of the signs of aging.
Bottom line: You can count on this lightweight daytime moisturizer for sun protection and some improvement in brown spots and wrinkles, but nothing about it is unique enough to make it must-have, and the formulary concerned mentioned above make this ill-advised for anyone with sensitive skin or for use around the eyes.
